Since 2005, the WPN has been acknowledging the role of women in the industry, and until 2010, the Rising Star and 5 Star Women Awards were hosted annually. As the industry evolved and the role of women in it, the awards were reviewed and reintroduced in 2015 as the SA Women in Property Awards.

Now in its fifth year, the awards recognize outstanding leadership, commitment and success in individuals and organisations that have stepped up and shaped women’s roles within the private and public spheres of the sector. This includes CEO’s, executives and leaders in corporate South Africa, SMME’s, government departments and agencies, as well as entrepreneurs.
